7SIGNAL®, the leader in enterprise cloud Wireless Network Monitoring, have today announced, that after a successful proof of concept, NHS Fife have selected Sapphire Eye™ to monitor service levels of the wireless local area network (WLAN) throughout the hospital – maximizing network uptime, device connectivity and network ROI.
A module within the 7SIGNAL platform, Sapphire Eye is a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi sensor and software subscription designed to collect and analyse Wi-Fi user experience data. This gives engineers the actionable root cause information they need to find and fix network issues, a perfect solution for hospitals that are experiencing wireless device connectivity problems.
During the trial supported by Open Reality, wireless engineers used the 7SIGNAL platform to find and fix issues on access points, RADIUS, DNS and DHCP servers. The platform runs active and passive tests for throughput, packet loss, latency, jitter and mean opinion score (MOS), channel utilization, retries, client data rates, interference, and remote packet capture.
The Sapphire Eye platform from 7SIGNAL will enhance the Wi-Fi user experience for patients, visitors and over 8,500 staff members.
