Sapphire Eyes are state-of-the-art Wi-Fi sensors and high-performance clients developed and patented by 7SIGNAL. They are uniquely designed to measure network connectivity and the quality of the end-user experience on Wi-Fi networks.

Sapphire Eye 2100

The Sapphire Eye 2100 contains a powerful dual-band 802.11ac 3×3:3 radio and low noise RF amplification technologies to enable active tests and maximize the range of operation. Due to its sophisticated antenna design the Sapphire Eye 2100 can connect to between 4 and 8 access points in the local vicinity. Beam steering provides amplification in the target direction and suppresses interference from other directions, which enables it to make accurate active measurements from a single location. The use of client end beam steering technology essentially creates virtual test points in each beam direction.

The Sapphire Eye 2100 executes active, cyclic end-user synthetic test traffic (Layers 1-7), performs a comprehensive passive analysis (Layers 1-2) as well as 2.4GHz and 5GHz spectrum analysis. The tests are defined in a custom automated test profile which can include communication with premises and cloud servers. All the Wi-Fi is analyzed within the Sapphire Eye before being stored in the cloud.

Sapphire Eyes use Power over Ethernet (PoE) which also enables active Ethernet testing. Typically ceiling mounted, their slim profile makes it easy to blend them into your environment.
