Uninterrupted network access
The IR624 supports multiple access methods, including cellular, wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi, making it suitable for varied network environments and changing business requirements. It supports 5G cellular access with downlink speeds of up to 3.4Gbps, while remaining compatible with 4G and 3G networks for flexible deployment across different coverage areas.
The router includes four 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports with WAN, LAN and VLAN support, providing high-speed wired connectivity for local devices. Dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi supports 802.11ac/a/b/g/n with Wave 2 MU-MIMO, with wireless transmission rates of up to 867Mbps on 5GHz and 300Mbps on 2.4GHz. This gives users the flexibility to build secure wireless networks while using cellular and wired connectivity where required.
Concise and convenient cloud management
The IR624 connects to InHand Networks’ DeviceLive IoT device management platform, enabling centralised cloud management for large numbers of distributed routers and remote sites. Through DeviceLive, users can monitor device status, view interface information, manage deployments and maintain visibility across their connected estate in real time.
DeviceLive also supports remote maintenance, helping engineers connect to on-site devices for diagnosis, debugging and repair without needing to attend site. This helps reduce downtime, lower support costs and improve operational efficiency across distributed IoT environments.
Always online
The IR624 is built to maintain stable communication in unattended and business-critical environments. It includes link backup, link detection, dual SIM switching and embedded watchdog functionality to help keep connections available and recover quickly from faults.
If a link becomes unavailable, the IR624 can detect the issue and automatically redial, while dual SIM failover allows the router to switch between mobile networks when required. These features help reduce the risk of network failure and support more reliable connectivity for industrial systems, remote equipment and always-on IoT applications.
Strong security protection
The IR624 integrates multiple layers of security to help protect sensitive data and critical business networks. It supports access control, NAT, port mapping and firewall filtering based on MAC address, IP address, port and protocol, helping organisations control how devices and services communicate across the network.
For secure data transmission, the IR624 supports IPsec VPN and L2TP VPN, while policy-based routing, 802.1X support and secure remote access through Web and CLI provide additional protection and management flexibility. Designed for demanding industrial environments, the IR624 features a solid metal housing, fanless cooling and an IP30 protection rating. Its compact 127 x 108.2 x 35mm form factor supports DIN-rail and wall mounting, making it suitable for control cabinets, industrial sites and space-constrained IoT installations.
The router is built to operate in harsh conditions, with a normal operating temperature range of -35°C to 70°C and extended operation from -40°C to 75°C. It also includes DC 9-48V power input with over-current and anti-reverse connection protection, EMC level 3 protection, shock resistance, vibration resistance and free-fall protection.
