Exciting Updates for ECSE Classes: 6 GHz Content and More

This year is set to be one of the biggest in Wi-Fi with 6 GHz devices becoming more and more readily available – and 2022 is also proving to be a big year for Ekahau. Not only have they been busy updating their products (check out our recent blog), but they have also revamped large parts of their world-renowned ECSE (Ekahau Certified Solutions Engineer) Training and Certification programs.

Here’s what’s new with the ECSE classes and why signing up for training can help you advance your career and take you from building mediocre Wi-Fi to awesome wireless networks.

ECSE Design: Now Covering 6 GHz

ECSE Design is the most popular Wi-Fi training class in the industry, providing students with the fundamentals they need to design high-performing Wi-Fi networks using the full suite of Ekahau Connect products. If a student passes the ECSE Design exam, they receive an extremely respected and highly desired ECSE Design certification. More than 1,500 students were certified last year and more are getting certified every day!

The class has always covered 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks comprehensively, and now with Wi-Fi 6E devices coming to market, it’s been relaunched with all-new 6 GHz content. The updated ECSE Design class also covers how to use the latest versions of all Ekahau products, including the newest software AI Pro.

The newly updated course ensures IT Pros taking the class are prepared for the networks they are seeing today – as well as the networks they will be seeing in the future.

“Ekahau has long been the golden standard in tools training. They have stressed not only the how of their software, but the why of the technology behind it. With the introduction of 6 GHz and Ekahau’s AI Pro software update, the new ECSE Design curriculum covers not only the technology basics and how to properly design Wi-Fi networks, but they’ve introduced all new content and concepts around 6 GHz Wi-Fi design. The ECSE Design updates for the new course not only encompass all you’ll need to know about 6GHz and the updated planning components, but rolls in all of the fundamental concepts needed to build the best Wi-Fi networks in the world. Ekahau’s new ECSE Design course continues to represent the best tools training in the industry.”

ECSE Troubleshooting: Back and Better than Ever!

After taking an ECSE Design class, the next step to expanding your knowledge is ECSE Troubleshooting. After a brief hiatus earlier this year, ECSE Troubleshooting is now back bigger and better than ever.

Attending an ECSE Troubleshooting class gives you a better understanding of how wireless frames traverse the air (magic, we know, but we can reveal a few secrets here!).

Students that attend the class will get a baseline of knowledge and shared vocabulary, covering fundamentals of RF, 802.11, and how Wi-Fi works from a Wi-Fi client device perspective. They will also work through multiple network troubleshooting processes using various tools and techniques at each stage to identify issues including investigating, measuring, validating, analyzing, interrogating, and managing.

Last is a deep dive into spectrum analysis to spot anomalies and non-Wi-Fi interference so your Wi-Fi networks stay high performing.

Get Recertified On-Demand

Ekahau are launching a brand new way for students to renew their ECSE certifications. With the introduction of ECSE Recertification video on-demand training, ECSE students whose certifications have expired or are about to expire can watch online videos at their own pace and then take an online multiple-choice exam, which if they pass will renew their ECSE certifications for 3 more years.

Classroom Training Returns

Yes, you read that correctly! In-person classroom options for ECSE Design, ECSE Troubleshooting, and ECSE Advanced will be returning to the UK this November. Check out the dates of our online and classroom courses on our training calendar.

Share Your Certified Status With the World

Ekahau are committed to providing students with the tools necessary to achieve their professional goals and understand that communicating credentials in an ever-expanding online marketplace can be challenging. That is why they have partnered with Credly for the issuing and management of digital badges (certificates) for ECSE certifications.

Digital badges can be used in email signatures or digital resumes, and on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, or Twitter. This digital image contains verified metadata that describes your qualifications and the process required to earn them.

You can even easily forward them to your family and friends just to remind them that you are the most amazing person they know! 🙂
